On February 24, 1929, Wesley Christiansen Baisley was born to Floyd Haven Baisley and Lola Dorthea (Petersen) Baisley in Baker, Oregon.  He graduated from Burns High School in 1948.  Wes was a proud father of one daughter Lola and four sons, Donald, Daniel, Terry, and David.

Wes was a machinist and fabricator by trade. In 1973 Wes and his son Dan founded Baisley Hi-Performance in Portland, Oregon and together they owned and operated the business for 40 years before Wes retired on December 31, 2013.

When he wasn't busy working and raising his children he enjoyed model airplanes, learning about anything mechanical, racing motorcycles, building Harley-Davidson engines and boxing.  Wes loved animals and he loved helping people.  He was recently baptized as a Catholic at St. Francis de Sales in Baker City and he was proud to be affiliated with the church.

He leaves behind his daughter Lola Jean Sevey of Baker City, Oregon; his four sons, Donald Guy Westfall of Hermiston, Oregon, Daniel Lee Baisley of Happy Valley, Oregon, Terrel Eugene Baisley of Redmond, Oregon, and David Wesley Baisley of Hermiston, Oregon.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
