Carolyn Kay Dixon Boesch Hamilton passed away in Boise, Idaho surrounded by her loving family on April 11, 2019, at the age of 72. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City with grandson Nickolas Blair officiating the service. Friends are invited to join the family for a potluck reception at the VFW directly following the graveside service.
Carolyn was born December 11, 1946, to Delmar and Grace (Mathis) Dixon in Baker City. She graduated from Baker High School in 1965; she enjoyed attending her class reunion to reconnect with classmates. Carolyn went on to attend Western Business University in Portland, Oregon (UNIV) receiving her certificate in data processing. Carolyn worked many years as a data processor for the Baker City Water Department, retiring after 27 years.
Carolyn married Emmett Ray Boesch on February 7, 1970. They welcomed two wonderful children, Devan, and Kellie Boesch. They divorced, and later Carolyn married Forrest Hamilton in Baker City on May 9, 1992. Forrest passed away on May 4, 2005.
Carolyn had many different interests including; animals, playing cards, fishing, woodworking, water skiing, spending time with her friends and especially her grandchildren. Her family saw her as the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for.
Survivors include; Mary and Jerry Hall, sister and brother-in-law, of Wasilla, Alaska, Devan Boesch, son of Baker City, Kellie Boesch, daughter of Baker City. She is also survived by her grandchildren including; Alex Boesch, Nickolas Blair, Josalyn Boesch of Baker City. Addison Hovious, and great-grandchild of Baker City.
She is preceded in death by; Grace and Delmar Dixon, parents. Forrest Hamilton, husband. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
